About Cameron Romer, LCSW


Cameron Romer is a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in social work and criminal justice. She brings deep passion and strategic analysis when completing each evaluation and works closely with all identified parties in order to provide a comprehensive and quality evaluation. She received a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. She continued her education and received a Master’s in Social Work Degree from Temple University and pursued her licensure with the State Board of Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists and Professional Counselors.

Cameron has over 10 years of experience in social work and counseling in both the public and private sector. Cameron’s career including a residential treatment setting. During her tenure with the County of York, Cameron worked in Juvenile Probation and went on to be the Treatment Court Administrator in Adult Probation and Parole. Following her career with the County of York, Cameron worked within the Philadelphia Prison System performing clinical assessments and providing on-going therapeutic services to the inmate population.

Cameron’s frequent work in evaluations and assessments helped her to develop a reputation in south-central PA for thorough and substantive evaluations for diverse populations. She is called upon on a regular basis to provide expert witness testimony given the reliability of evaluations.

In addition to testifying in county court, she also testified before the United States Congress Sub-Committee for Healthy Families and Communities regarding the challenges faced by female adolescents in the Juvenile Justice System.  She has also presented to members of Congress concerning the effect of the Zero Tolerance Policy on behalf of the Education Law Center and the American Civil Liberties Union.  She was also a member of the Models for Change Initiative for Aftercare Reform sponsored by the MacArthur Foundation.
